Saudi Arabia on Thursday condemned Iran's attacks on Iraqi bases hosting U.S. forces as a "violation of Iraqi sovereignty", the official Saudi Press Agency reported.
"The kingdom is reiterating its calls for self-restraint by all parties and keenness to avoid escalations in order to preserve security and stability of Iraq and the region," the SPA said, quoting a Saudi foreign ministry statement.
Tensions have mounted between the United States and Iran after the assassination of Qassem Soleimani, Commander of the Quds Force, in a U.S. missile attack that targeted a vehicle he was boarding.
