Many experts say, the four-day Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committeeis another milestone along China's reform path.

The CPC session is pushing for deeper reform and stronger power for China's socioeconomic development. No wonder, it has attracted the world's attention.

Some experts say, the concern over China is due to the country's closer bond with the world since it adopted reform and opening-up, which has benefited more and more countries. It also reflects the surge of a worldwide reform and development as well as the world's hope for China to find a new path.

SOUNDBITE (ENGLISH) WILLIAM OWEN, Chairman, AEA Investors Asia:

"Reforms in China, stability in China is a great benefit for America. Growth of the economy in China, the meaning to the world and the United States in every market, in retail markets, in oil and gas markets, in manufacturing markets, the partnership between the two countries is so significant and so important for our children. So more consumerism in China, increasing the percentage of GDP that comes from the Chinese consumer is a great thing. I think we'll see a lot of that in the reforms. I think that that's really important."

With its reform over the past 35 years, China has lifted most of its population out of poverty.

During this period, it has also grown from the 10th to the second largest economy.

Many say the improvement is one of the most profound changes since the end of the Cold War.

The ongoing CPC meeting is expected to introduce major policies and measures for China's further reforms.

SOUNDBITE (ENGLISH) WILLIAM OWEN, Chairman, AEA Investors Asia:

"So consumerism is very important, engagement with the world is important. I think we'll here themes of engagement, the rejuvenation of China, I think, President Xi Jinping has used those words, are very important words about China, the middle class, China taking its rightful position in the world. America should welcome that and I think that's a great element."

Overseas media note the CPC session will sound the bugle for comprehensive reforms in China. They say, those transformations will not only power China's development and innovation, but offer more opportunities for the world.
