U.S. President Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden stopped at Norfolk’s Tidewater Community College and Yorktown Elementary School in Virginia Monday as part of his “Getting America Back on Track” tour.

He spoke on how his economic proposals would benefit schools if signed into law, including his $1.8 trillion American Families Plan, which he called “a once-in-a-generation investment in our families, in our children, that addresses what people care most about and most need: the investment we need to win the competition, the competition with other nations in the future.”

“We’re in a race.” Biden said in his remarks at Tidewater Community College. “It all starts with access to good education.”
