Are Harley Davidson motorcycles and leather coats the privileges of the young people? The answer is definitely no.
Huang Yanzhen, a 73-year-old lady from Xiamen, east China’s Fujian Province, has won the hearts of Chinese netizens with photographs of her posing on a cool Harley motorcycle in leather clothing.
Huang isn’t just posing to be cool. She wears cheongsam, loves travelling and stars in micro films. For her, age is nothing but a number. Recently, photographs of her in stylish dresses have made her an internet sensation and won her the name “Goddess Granny”.
Attending Cheongsam Competition
Huang Yanzhen signed up for a high-profile cheongsam competition held in Xiamen in 2015. Wearing a blue cheongsam and a pair of six-centimeter high heels, and holding a folding fan in her hand, Huang cast other younger competitors into shade. With her charm and charisma, she was even invited to Beijing to attend the awarding ceremony.
However, no one knew how she suffered on the stage. At that time, her hip tormented her because of an old injury and every step she took was completed with strong will.
Huang Yanzhen also starred in a micro film promoting cheongsam culture. She had no experience in acting, but her unique temperament conquered the audience, and photographer Ding Guoliang, commonly known by his internet name Xiaoyejiexi. He offered to take photographs of Huang and those were the ones that went viral on the internet.
Young and Beautiful Forever
Most people hold the idea that when someone reaches his/her seventies, he/she should probably retire and enjoy the rest of his/her life playing mahjong or dancing on squares. However, Huang Yanzhen is still passionate about life. After all the past hardships, her love for life keeps her to be alive and positive. For her, aging is nothing.
