Suspect arrested after attacking police near Tunisian parliament

A suspect was arrested after attacking two police officers with a knife near the Tunisian parliament in the capital Tunis, the country’s interior ministry said on Wednesday.

One of the officers was wounded in the neck and is in intensive care.

A preliminary investigation suggests the attacker is an extremist conducting an act of "jihad", the statement said.
