U.S. prosecutors arrest over 725 suspects involved in Capitol riot

U.S. Federal prosecutors in the District of Columbia have charged more than 725 individuals with various crimes in connection with the Capitol insurrection on January 6, the U.S. attorney's office said on Friday.

According to the office, more than 725 defendants have been arrested in nearly all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

"The government continues to investigate losses that resulted from the breach of the Capitol, including damage to the Capitol building and grounds, both inside and outside the building," the office stated.
