Vlog: Anti-poverty official in China runs a cow farm

Huang Wenzhong is the head of the poverty alleviation work team at Ditong Village, Dongmiao Town of Du'an Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Huang runs a “cow farm” in the village to help the locals get rid of poverty. He is known as "President Huang" in the village.

Since 2015, China has appointed young and capable Party members or former cadres from government departments, organizations and enterprises to help with poverty alleviation of villages -- part of the country's efforts to eliminate absolute poverty by 2020. They are called "the first Party secretaries."
