Explosion rocks downtown Kabul

A powerful explosion rocked downtown Kabul, capital of Afghanistan, at around 7:20 p.m. local time on Tuesday.

The exact location of the explosion is not yet known, but a powerful sound of explosion was heard in Wazir Akbar Khan area of the city, near the cluster of embassies.

Gunshots were heard following the explosion.
