**LONDON, Oct. 17 (APD) - **The United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson has approved a new deal with the European Union after days of negotiations between teams of the two sides ahead of crucial session in EU Summit these days.
UK prime minister posted his final move to approve the deal in his twitter account on Thursday morning, that says: “We’ve got a great new deal that takes back control — now Parliament should get Brexit done on Saturday so we can move on to other priorities like the cost of living, the NHS, violent crime and our environment.”
Johnson agreed to the EU’s proposal of a customs border between Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK. The EU’s proposal was initially offered to Johnson’s predecessor Theresa May, which she rejected on the grounds that it amounts to the break-up of the union.
Besides that, Johnson also accepted that Northern Ireland to remain in the EU’s single market for goods, although it is seeking to find a way to time-limit the arrangement.
About at the same time, EU President Jean-Claude Juncker also posted in his twitter account that the deal was a “fair and balanced agreement” , urging the EU Council to support it.
The approval was reached in the last minute after Johnson proposed a concession plan over North Irish border issue.
The approved deal needs to be approved by EU Council during the leaders’ summit. UK MPs will vote on the deal during in a session in the House of Commons on Saturday.
