Separated wandering elephant sent back to original habitat

A separated elephant from the now world-famous roaming wild elephant herd in southwest China's Yunnan Province has been sent back to its original habitat in Xishuangbanna. According to the command center set up to monitor the herd, the male sub-adult elephant was captured in Yuxi City on Wednesday, and released into the Xishuangbanna National Nature Reserve on the same day. The elephant broke off from the group on June 6 when they traveled to the outskirts of Kunming, Yunnan's provincial capital, and had been wandering on his own since then.
