A 19-year-old female Chinese student Sunday was found dead without violated signs in a bush near Perugia, Italy.

An Italian man from Florence, 37 years old, was detained by the police.

The Chinese girl, surnamed Sheng, came from Nanjing, eastern part of China.

She had met the suspect by 'shaking' the mobile phone through Wechat, a chatting application.

Chinese Embassy in Italy attaches importance to incident.

SOUNDBITE (CHINESE) ZHANG LINYI, Chinese Embassy in Italy:

"Most of the international students studying abroad are post 1990s and the single child of their families. Many students are comparatively lack of the self-care ability living in a foreign country. Here are some tips: study hard, obey the local law and be careful to make friends."

Intoxication of drugs is suspected to be cause of Sheng's death, and the investigation is still ongoing.
