Slovenian PM resigns, calling for snap election

Slovenia's Prime Minister Marjan Sarec on Monday announced his resignation and called for an early election in the European country.

During a press conference in the capital Ljubljana, the Sarec said he is sending the resignation to parliament as he can not achieve his program with the current minority coalition.

"With this coalition and this situation in parliament, I can not fulfill the expectations of the people," he said.
