Indonesia's economy expanded at the slowest pace since 2009 in the second quarter as the government spending and exports remain subdued.

The national statistic bureau announced on Wednesday that the GDP annual growth slowed to 4.67 percent in the three month ended in June, compared with 4.71 percent in the January-March period.

The economy expanded by 3.78 percent in the second quarter compared with the previous three months, Suryamin, head of the bureau, told a press conference at the bureau's headquarters.

According to the finance ministry, government capital spending only reached 11 percent to 30.2 trillion rupiah (some 2.234 billion U.S. dollars) at the first semester. Enditem
