New Delhi, Feb. 2, (APD) - On Sunday morning an Air India flight carrying 323 Indian nationals and seven Maldivians, reached Delhi airport from the coronavirus-hit Wuhan city.

It was the second flight that came from Wuhan, as earlier on Saturday morning another special Air India plane carrying 211 students, 110 working professionals and three minors reached Delhi from Wuhan around 7.30 am.

Through a tweet, the Indian Embassy said on Saturday, “We look forward to operating another flight to evacuate remaining Indian nationals, who have consented to leave Hubei Province for the time being."

Three days ago, India’s first Coronavirus case was reported from Thrissur, in the province of Kerala. A second case came to light from the same province on Sunday.

The second patient is a student who returned from Wuhan to India on January 24. Union Health Ministry informed that he has been kept in isolation for monitoring.

Meanwhile, more than 1,700 people are under surveillance at their homes in the province of Kerala, while 70 have been admitted to isolation wards in hospitals.

Speaking to journalists at a press conference, Kerala’s Health Minister K K Shailaja said, “We are very vigilant till the incubation period passes. The best treatment is to be in isolation and get lots of rest.”

“We haven’t got the test result from NiV Pune, but they have indicated that it’s a patient at the Alappuzha Medical College. It’s a possibility that the patient could be positive. So we’re awaiting the test result,” he added.
