7.0-magnitude quake hits 120 km E of Tadine, New Caledonia

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 jolted 12 km E of Tadine, New Caledonia Tuesday at 08:42:08 Hong Kong time (0042 GMT), the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 14.9 km, was initially determined to be at 21.658 degrees south latitude and 169.044 degrees east longitude.
