Republic of Korea art troupe leaves for Pyongyang

The majority of the art troupe and taekwondo performers from the Republic of Korea (ROK) departed for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Saturday morning to give performances in Pyongyang ahead of the inter-Korean summit on April 27.

The 120-member group led by ROK Culture, Sports and Tourism Minister Do Jong-whan travelled via a direct air route between Seoul and Pyongyang.

The group will deliver a two-hour-performance on Sunday and will take part in a joint concert with DPRK artists on Tuesday afternoon, according to Yonhap News Agency.
