Pakistan has seriously taken up drone strike issue with the United States, according to Pakistan foreign affairs adviser Sartaj Aziz.

"The drone attacks are serious violation of Pakistan's sovereignty and against the international, political and humanitarian laws," Aziz Thursday told the Senate.

Pakistan will also raise the issue at an international human rights council later this month, he added, saying "We have prepared a detailed briefing for presentation to the Human Rights Council on the issue."

He informed the senators that Pakistan has also briefed different countries including Russia, Saudi Arabia and Central Asian states of the fallout of a recent U.S. drone attack.

The drone strike was carried out on May 21 in the country's southwestern Balochistan province and killed two men, one of them later confirmed as Afghan Taliban chief Mullah Akhtar Mansoor.
