California’s Dixie fire affects the local economy

Ediz Tiyansan

The largest fire in California, the Dixie Fire has grown bigger than the size of New York City.

Although fire crews have made some progress in recent days, the blaze is only about 32% contained.

It has forced road closures and evacuations in several towns that rely on tourism at this time of year.

CGTN correspondent Ediz Tiyansan has visited nearby towns around Lake Almanor, to see how the local community is coping with the economic impact.
