Xi Jinping: CPC's founding spirit of being faithful to the people

The founding spirit of the Communist Party of China (CPC) – remaining faithful to the people – has always been the Party's source of strength and will be carried forward, said Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday.

What China has achieved over the past 100 years are the concerted efforts of Chinese communists and the Chinese people. The people are the true heroes, for they are creating history, President Xi, also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, said at the grand ceremony marking the centenary of the CPC in Beijing.

Xi also expressed gratitude to people around the world who have shown friendship to the Chinese people, and have supported China's endeavors in revolution, development and reform.
