The Hong Kong Children's Choir (HKCC) performed at St John's Smith Square of London Wednesday night, marking the last stop of their European music tour 2015.

Performing in Britain again since their last appearance in 2013, the HKCC has selected a varied repertoire of songs from the East and the West for the concert, or "Voices of Hong Kong", featuring works by some of Hong Kong's best know and up-and-coming composers.

Led by Music Director and Principal Conductor Kathy Fok, the choir performed excerpts from "Bai Niang Niang", the first musical in Chinese, and the "Choriental Symphony", a medley of Asian tunes, as well as "Turot Eszik A Cigany", by the Hungarian composer Zoltan Kodaly.

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, London, supported and co-hosted the event.

Founded in 1969, the HKCC has grown into a diversified arts organization for children. It is invited to perform overseas each year. In 2014, the HKCC was selected by the International Federation for Choral Music (IFCM) as one of the IFCM Ambassadors for 2013 to 2015 and performed in the 10th World Symposium on Choral Music.

Before the London concert this year, the choral group had taken part in the Europa Cantat XIX Pecs 2015 festival in Hungary, and also staged performances in Budapest and Kalocsa in Hungary as well as Salzburg in Austria. Enditem
