While the COVID-19 pandemic continues to hit Brazil hard, a social project in Rio de Janeiro is putting the city’s favela teenagers on an unusual path of empowerment and potential wealth.

After dozens of pioneering social projects, fast forward to 2021 and an initiative called the Afrogames. It’s not an athletic competition. It’s eSports, a digital opportunity to address poverty like nothing that has come before.
