It's only two months into 2017, but K-pop fans have been showered with superfluous releases from big time artists -- AOA, S.E.S and Suzy just to name a few -- so far this year.

Now, after a brief lull, the music scene is about to see fireworks again as a new batch of artists, led by TWICE, are preparing to fire up the late February charts.

TWICE is scheduled to release its highly anticipated special album "TWICEcoaster:LANE2" next Monday. The 13-track album is a repackaged version of the group's hit third EP "TWICEcoaster:LANE1" with two new songs including the album's lead single "Knock Knock."

The nine-member group, which has so far produced three No. 1 songs, has started its three-day concert "TWICE Land - The Opening" from Friday at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul.

Taeyeon of legendary idol group Girls' Generation is also scheduled to release her first full-length solo studio album later this month.

The music video for "I Got Love," the title track of the album, was released at midnight, which features the singer in smokey-eyed makeup and a glitzy wardrobe, marking a stark departure from her mostly pure and innocent image from the past.

Her first solo album, "I," dominated major music charts on its release in 2015 and also topped Billboard's World Digital Song Chart then. The songstress' second and latest EP album "Why" was released to commercial success last year.

Gugudan, a nine-member act from Jellyfish Entertainment, debuted last year to relative fame and success. The team will be releasing its second EP album "Act. 2 Narcissus" on Feb. 28.

The band has drawn particular attention from its three members -- Kim Se-jeong, Kang Mi-na and Kim Na-young -- who were all on Mnet's survival audition show "Produce 101" last year.

The team's new album continues on with the fairy tale theme from its debut album "Act. 1 The Little Mermaid" released in June 2016.

Eight-member group Lovelyz will also release its second full-length studio album on Feb. 27.

Having debuted in 2014, the team rose to stardom in Korea with single "Ah-Choo" in 2015. With composer Yoon Sang and his song-writing team 1Peace at the production mantle, the team's new music is expected to court a catchy-yet-sophisticated electronic sound.
