India's annual economic growth plunges by record 7.3%

India's economy contracted 7.3% in 2020-21 financial year, official data showed Monday as coronavirus lockdowns put millions out of work.

The country's economy grew by 1.6 percent in the January and March quarter year-on-year, official data showed.
