US President Donald Trump met the heads of European Union institutions on Thursday in Brussels ahead of a summit of NATO leaders at the military alliance's headquarters in the city later on the same day, according to Reuters.

Trump is on the fourth leg of his foreign trip since taking office. He arrived for talks with EU Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission head Jean-Claude Juncker, who will argue for the benefits of open trade and the Paris climate agreement, AFP reported.
