Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi says the Middle East crisis poses a danger to the whole world. He made the remarks during a joint news conference with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi in Amman, after the two discussed conflicts in the region, including the Syrian civil war.

"The Middle East is the biggest barrel bomb in the world. If the Middle East is not stabilized, peace and stability will not be achieved in the world. Crisis in the Middle East imposes a danger on the whole world." Wang said.

"China, as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, is always following the developments in Syria and provided Syrian refugees with aid supplies without expecting anything in return. We also pushed, on different occasions, to have the Syrian case resolved and we played our role in this regard. " Wang said, noting China is ready to work with Jordan to reach a resolution in the Syrian case.
