A suspicious bag at the Eindhoven Airport in the Netherlands contained no explosives and outbound flights were resumed after a 40-minute break, an airport spokesman said on Thursday.

Only medical instruments were found in a bag suspected to contain explosives during a security check at 10 a.m., the Dutch Military Police told Xinhua.

The luggage owner was arrested shortly and half of the airport's terminal was evacuated for security probe. Outgoing flights were canceled until 10:40 a.m., when it was confirmed a false alarm.

The alarm did not cause any delay and the incoming traffic was not affected by the evacuation, an airport spokesman said.
