British singer Sarah Brightman, who aspires to sing aboard the International Space Station (ISS), is making full preparations here for her space journey.

The singer, who is at the Star City's training center in eastern Moscow now, braves a series of difficulties in order to make her trip to the ISS a reality, the TASS news agency reported.

The 55-year-old soprano trains for 15 to 16 hours a day and does not care about her looks, the report said.

"I am able to work for 15-16 hours a day uninterrupted which is a complete blessing for me," she was quoted as saying. "I am not at the Star City for holiday, I am here to work."

She has also been in the centrifuge and exposed herself to 8G, or eight times her normal weight.

Brightman announced her intention to fly to the ISS in October 2012 and has reportedly paid up to 50 million U.S. dollars for the plan.

She is expected to fly on Sept. 1 this year, and if the 10-day journey comes true, she will become the eighth space tourist and the first professional musician to sing from space.
