China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park to build new industrial city

A promotion conference on China-Malaysia industrial parks was held in the southwestern Chinese city of Nanning on Wednesday, as part of the ongoing 14th China-ASEAN Expo (Sept 12-15).

The event was aimed at sharing achievements of the two industrial parks and seizing opportunities from the Belt and Road initiative, according to organizers.

Mr. Gao Pu, deputy director of the administrative committee of Qinzhou Industrial Park, introduced active explorations and practices on creating a new-generation industrial park and the situation of existing parks to entrepreneurs at home and abroad.

The China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park and Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park were established under the framework of “Two Countries, Twin Parks”.

"The park will feature high-tech, low-carbon and internationalized. An innovative, modern international industrial city is rising." said Gao.

“As a strategic partner of the China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park, the Asia-Pacific Daily (APD) will help boost the park’s development”, said APD President Jin Wensheng, stressing that “As a multi-language media, the APD is striving to become a communicator, thinker and participant, spreading Chinese voice and Chinese stories to foreign countries and influence foreign people."

YAP Kim Heng, senator of the Kuantan government and chairman of Kuantan and Qinzhou’s economic and trade association hailed that “two countries, twin parks” will inject new vitality into economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

The China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park has participated in the China-ASEAN Expo for five years. The officials of the parks said the expo is a good platform to enhance the park’s popularity and attract more foreign businesses and investment.
