Former NBA player Dennis Rodman is going to arrive in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Tuesday, according to CNN citing two anonymous officials from the DPRK.
This Hall of Famer was seen at Beijing International Airport, said CNN, but he declined to answer questions. He is expected to arrive at Pyongyang amid the tension between DPRK and the US.
The US State Department said it was not an official US visit. The purpose of this visit remains unknown.
CNN said Rodman has visited the DPRK "at least four times". He took his last trip there in January 2014 with other representatives from the NBA to participate in an exhibition basketball game, and was filmed leading the "Happy Birthday" song to DPRK's leader Kim Jong Un, whom he called a friend.
