Blue alert for sandstorms issued for north China

China’s weather observatory at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday issued a blue alert for sandstorms, forecasting sandy and dusty weather in China's northern regions from today to tomorrow morning.Areas including Beijing, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Gansu, Hebei, Shanxi and parts of Shaanxi provinces will be plagued by sand and dust in the next 24 hours, with some regions suffering sandstorms.

Dust and sand were seen in Beijing this morning with PM10 levels over 800.
