Marking 100 days in office this week, Ecuador’s President Guillermo Lasso has one of the highest approval ratings of any leader in Latin America.

Key to his popularity has been a successful COVID-19 vaccination campaign. Ecuador has been one of the region’s nations hardest hit by COVID-19.
