**ISLAMABAD, Jan. 18 (APD) ** -- Pakistan’s three judokas will leave for Hungary early next month to attend a two-month training course in an attempt to get prepared for 2020 Olympics, local media reported on Thursday.

“The training will be held at Dunavarsany, which is one of the finest Olympic training centers in Hungary,” Secretary Pakistan Judo Federation (PJF), Mansoor Amed said.

He said the training had been arranged by the International Judo Federation (IJF) to help countries from around the world to prepare their judo athletes for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

According to the official, the standard of judo in Pakistan is improving and there is a pool of good judokas now.

“We’ve decided to send only those judokas for training, who have put an impressive performance in the national and international events in the recent past”, he added.

He said the federation wanted to give maximum exposure to country’s top judokas ahead of the Olympics.

“We have the support of IJF and the training in Hungary would be held with its financial support,” he said.
