An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted 52km W of Bandar 'Abbas, Iran at 12:30:47 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 27.142 degrees north latitude and 55.7493 degrees east longitude.
