Indonesian president-elect vows to speed up gov't forming

Indonesian President-elect Joko Widodo said on Thursday night that he will speed up forming his government.

"It was the highest and final legal process in presidential election. I and my running mate Jusuf Kalla are very appreciating the MK that has been working professionally and transparently. I will prepare, plan my government as soon as possible," the president-elect Joko Widodo, who is the active governor of the capital city, said in a press conference to respond the recent ruling issued by the Constitution Court (MK) that led to his presidency.

He said that the MK ruling needs to be respected by all parties.

Joko Widodo's running mate Jusuf Kalla who was at presence asked the arch-rival pairing to have a reconciliation for the sake of the country. "(Let us) Be united after all of these processes are over. They should not take further legal process to appeal as it has been decided by the highest judiciary institution," Jusuf Kalla said.

Prabowo Subianto camp has conceded their defeat in a press conference held earlier soon after the MK issued its ruling. They said that they would become "Positive Balancer" in the next five year during the administration of their arch-rival contender. They claimed that their coalition is still cohesive. Prabowo's coalition of seven parties dominates the seats in the parliament.
