At least five people were injured in an explosion near a cricket stadium in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province on Sunday night, local Urdu media reported Monday.
According to the police, the bomb was planted on the roadside and was detonated by a remote control device near the stadium in Khuzdar, a district in Balochistan province, leaving five people injured.
The blast took place when the final match of a local cricket tournament was underway, Dunya News said.
Rescue teams rushed to the site following the blast and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Security force cordoned off the area and kicked off a search operation in the surroundings to hunt down the miscreants.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
