Two pilots were killed when an air craft of Nepal's Kasthamandap Air crashed on Friday with 11 aboard.

Pilot Dinesh Neupane and co-pilot Santosh Rana lost their lives while the aircraft 9N-AJB enroute to Jumla district from Nepalgunj crash-landed in Kalikot.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ananda Prasad Pokharel confirmed the death of duo during force-landing.

Nine passengers are said to be safe, sustaining injuries.

It was reported that the aircraft, which took off from Nepalgunj, in the western part of the country, at 12:20 local time, diverted to Kalikot, a remote district, after failing to land at Jumla airport.

A joint team of police and army has been on the way to the crash-landed site for rescue operations.

The incident came just two days after the fatal air crash of Tara Air in Myagdi district, killing all 23 people on board including three crew members.
