A 107-year-old woman on Tuesday fully recovered and was discharged from a hospital in Istanbul after a week-long treatment for COVID-19, local media reported.
Havahan Karadeniz was taken under treatment at the Istanbul Education and Research Hospital with symptoms of high fever and cough last week, according to the state-run Anadolu news agency.
Ozgur Yigit, the chief physician of the hospital, said the medical team applied the appropriate treatment for her.
Karadeniz, accompanied by her great-grandson, was discharged from the hospital with applauds of the medical staff, a video of Anadolu showed.
Turkey has so far recorded a total of 61,049 confirmed cases and 1,296 deaths, according to the data released by the Health Ministry on Monday.
