Mainland senior lawmakers to visit HK

Two senior officials with China' s top legislature will visit Hong Kong from Thursday to Saturday, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region(SAR) government announced late Tuesday.

Li Fei, chairman of the HKSAR Basic Law Committee (BLC) under the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress(NPC) and Zhang Rongshun, vice-chairman of the BLC, will exchange views with HKSAR senior officials, department heads and members of the community on issues concerning the Basic Law and the political structure of the HKSAR, said a government spokesman.

During their visit, the two officials will pay a courtesy call on HKSAR's Chief ExecutiveLeung Chun-ying and attend a luncheon hosted by the chief secretary for administration on Friday.

They will also meet with the Hong Kong Bar Association and the Law Society of Hong Kong.
