Local authorities in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Tuesday revealed more details of terrorism-related crimes committed by some senior officials.

For the first time, at a press conference, Wang Langtao, deputy head of the regional High People's Court, revealed details of the "two-faced people" that were exposed in CGTN's exclusive documentary "The war in the shadows: Challenges of fighting terrorism in Xinjiang."

It was also revealed that a total of 2.32 million Uygur students and tens of thousands educators had used the problematic textbooks, which contain contents related to terror, violence and religious extremism and incite ethnic hatred.

The 2003- and 2009-edition textbooks contained 84 problematic texts and had been used for 13 years, according to the officials.
