Rwandan President Paul Kagame Sunday visited the country's COVID-19 Command Post, where he reiterated government support for various professionals working to end the spread of COVID-19 in the East African country.
The COVID-19 Command Post, located in the capital Kigali, brings together nearly 400 professionals from various sectors to coordinate activities aimed at ending the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
"We thank each member of the team and all health workers across the country for your selfless service to your nation," Kagame said, promising that the government will keep doing everything it can to support them.
"For now, the life of the country has to be on hold but there is hope that things will return to normal. And that hope coming true is founded on you and how you do your work," Kagame told the team.
Rwanda's health ministry on Saturday reported two new cases of COVID-19 in the country, bringing the total confirmed cases to 120, with 18 recoveries.
