Firefighter cries on stand at trial of former officer Derek Chauvin

Hear the testimony of Minneapolis firefighter Genevieve Hansen, who was off duty, but at the scene of George Floyd’s detainment.

Hansen described her experience of Chauvin and other officers stopping her from giving chest compressions to unconscious Floyd.

The trial of former police officer Derek Chauvin, charged in the death of Floyd, is in its third day.

On Wednesday the convenience store clerk who received a counterfeit $20 bill from Floyd broke down on the stand, saying he watched with “disbelief and guilt” the events that led to Floyd’s death. “If I would’ve just not taken the bill, this could’ve been avoided,” The 19-year-old Christopher Martin said on the stand.
