Speaking at a joint press conference held in the Turkish capital of Ankara, Yanukovych said "we want to improve the relations between Turkish and Ukrainian people," adding that Ukraine and Turkey would strengthen cooperation between businessmen at the same time.

The Ukrainian people will be exempted from visa for their travels to Turkey up to 60 days, Yanukovych said.

For his part, Erdogan said "we can reach a trade volume of 20 billion U.S. dollars till the end of 2015 if we agree on a free trade agreement with Ukraine."
