A 7.0-magnitude quake hit seawaters south of Sumatra, Indonesia at 6:29 a.m. Wednesday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was monitored at 4.31 degrees south latitude and 101.15 degrees east longitude, said the CENC.
