President Xi meets British PM Theresa May in Beijing

Chinese President Xi Jinping met with British Prime Minister Theresa May at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing on Thursday.

May started her three-day visit to China on Wednesday in central China’s Wuhan. Her arrival comes after President Xi Jinping's historic state visit to the UK in 2015. In the past two years, Xi and May have met at the G20 summits in Hangzhou and in Hamburg. It is May’s first official visit to China since she took office and the first by a British prime minister in four years.
