Five more suspects, including former Haitian Sen. John Joël Joseph and another former government official, have been identified in the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse and are on the run, according to local authorities.

The suspects are considered armed and dangerous.

It has been a week since a group of over two dozen mercenaries killed the president at his home in a coordinated attack.

Haiti’s Interim Prime Minister Claude Joseph and his staff took a moment of silence to honor the late President Jovenel Moise before a press conference Tuesday.

The U.S. government has sent officials to Haiti to meet with authorities and assist in the #investigation.
