The Palace Museum in Beijing is hosting an exhibition featuring some 160 sets and pieces of Ruyi, a traditional Chinese ornament representing blessings and auspiciousness. All the Ruyi pieces on display have been collected by the Palace Museum, which served as the imperial residence for 24 Chinese emperors throughout history. The items have been selected from more than 2,000 Ruyi pieces dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties between the 14th and early 20th centuries.
