Chinese railway police crack nearly 1,200 cases of theft, robbery, fraud in campaign

Chinese railway police have cracked nearly 1,200 cases of theft, robbery and fraud in a special campaign since December 2019, according to the Ministry of Public Security.

A total of 1,238 suspects have been arrested for being involved in these cases, showed the ministry's website.

Police stepped up patrols at major railway stations and trains in areas that are prone to these crimes. They also investigated reported cases and shared information within the police force in a timely manner.

A total of 90 police officers took part in the campaign in over a dozen teams.
