The pink robin, endemic to southeastern Australia, is a cute plump little bird that is adored by many. Only the male pink robin has the distinctive pink breast which contrasts with the black colored head and wings. The plumage of the female is grey-brown, quite different from the male's. The pink robin preys on spiders and insects including caterpillars and ants.
