Chinese president Xi Jinping hosts state dinner for Trump in Beijing

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Madame Peng Liyuan held a state dinner for US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania at the Golden Hall of the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Thursday.

All seven members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee attended the event, alongside other high level officials.

Trump arrived in Beijing on Wednesday afternoon, starting a three-day state visit to China as part of his Asia tour.
