The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the US on Saturday and is scheduled to attend the United Nations General Assembly as well as address the Indian diaspora in the US.
Modi landed in Texas and greeted the residents, through twitter, he said, “Howdy Houston! It’s a bright afternoon here in Houston. Looking forward to a wide range of programmes in this dynamic and energetic city today and tomorrow.”
During his stay in Texas, Modi is also scheduled to meet the CEOs of energy companies and address the Indian American community at an event on September 22, which would also be attended by President Trump.
Around 50,000 people are expected to attend Modi and Trump’s address in Texas. This would be Modi’s largest ever address in the US.
Modi will be in New York on September 27 where he will attend the United Nations General Assembly.
